My Lord, build for me near You a house in Paradise and save me

Surah At-Tahrim (The Banning), Chapter 66, Verse 11 of the Quran.

"And Allah presents an example of those who believed: the wife of Pharaoh, when she said, 'My Lord, build for me near You a house in Paradise and save me from Pharaoh and his deeds and save me from the wrongdoing people.'"

In this verse, Allah is presenting an example for believers through the story of the wife of Pharaoh. The wife of Pharaoh is recognized for her faith and supplication, and the verse illustrates her plea to Allah for protection and salvation.

The Pious Request:

The verse highlights the earnest prayer of the wife of Pharaoh to Allah. Despite being in the household of one of the most tyrannical rulers in history, she turns to Allah in sincere devotion. Her request is not for worldly gains or power but for a place near Allah in Paradise.

Seeking Protection from Pharaoh:

The wife of Pharaoh seeks refuge from the oppression and cruelty of her own husband, Pharaoh. This emphasizes the idea that belief in Allah transcends family ties and social hierarchies. She acknowledges the wrongdoing of Pharaoh and seeks protection from his actions.

A Plea for Salvation from the Wrongdoers:

The supplication extends beyond personal safety, as she implores Allah to save her from the wrongdoing people. This broader request signifies her understanding of the societal context and the need for protection not only for herself but from the injustices perpetrated by the oppressive regime.

Lesson for Believers:

The verse serves as a lesson for believers, illustrating that faith is not confined to a specific background or circumstance. Even in the heart of tyranny, a person can turn to Allah with sincerity and seek refuge. The example of the wife of Pharaoh encourages believers to maintain their faith and trust in Allah, regardless of the challenges they face.

In summary, this verse emphasizes the power of sincere supplication, the universality of faith, and the ability of individuals to turn to Allah for protection and salvation in the face of oppression and wrongdoing. It encourages believers to prioritize their relationship with Allah and seek refuge in Him, even in the most challenging circumstances.
